Pharma Logistics Network Attendees gather in the Shadow of the Tokyo Tower

The 5th Annual meeting of the Pharma Logistics Network was held in Tokyo and was hosted by Cavalier’s new partner Mitsubishi Logistics.
This year had another great turn out as shown in the group photo in front of the iconic Tokyo Tower. Every year, we try to make these meetings a combination of in-depth Pharma content and a great networking opportunity mixed with a bit of culture related fun. The Tokyo meeting excelled in all three aspects.
The highlights being:
Pharma Content: The keynote presentation was given by Giuseppe Leo from Zeullig Pharma and was an extremely illuminative overview of the current status of the Pharma world as seen by our Customers.
Networking: The addition of Mitsubishi Logistics – Japan, SFS – Thailand, DMS – Brazil, and WorldCargo – Italy created a great deal of positive discussion and business development opportunities.
Culture: The Cavalier team partook in a traditional Kagami Biraki ceremony with Mr. Noboru Hiraoka, the managing director of Mitsubishi. This involves the ceremonial opening of a Sake Barrel. Of course, once opened there is no way to store the sake, so it had to be finished there and then. Who knew sake contained alcohol? Well…. we all do now!
The meeting was a resounding success due to the hard work of the capable Cavalier and PLN teams.
