The seventh Annual PLN Meeting was held in Cape Town, South Africa earlier this year.  It was marked by solid attendance and the participation of new members including VCK Logistics headquartered in the Netherlands and ETH Cargo Services in Puerto Rico.

We also had an impressive set of guest speakers including representatives from:

• Amgen
• South African Airlines
• Imperial Logistics – Healthcare 

Although all the speakers were great, the presentation by Dr. Iain Barton, Executive VP – Imperial Logistics – Healthcare, was the one which left the deepest impression on the audience as a whole.  Dr. Barton said:

“What we do is logistics, but what we are is a vital part of Healthcare.  How we perform has real consequences.  We can make a difference and be a part of improving people’s lives.”
